Hamm, September 2024. From 1 October, the current dual management of the Hamm and Wesel grinding plants (MMW), consisting of Tim Grottendieck and Frank Husse, will be strengthened. David Heymans will join as an additional Managing Director, completing the management team and will initially focus on leading the Wesel grinding plant. MMW Wesel has been part of CREMER ERZKONTOR since 1991 and specializes in the processing and recycling of minerals and carbon-based products.

 “David Heymans is a proven expert in raw materials and processing,” says Nils Fleig, Executive Director of CREMER ERZKONTOR. “With his engineering degree in raw materials and his experience in mining and plant management, he brings material, technical and commercial expertise. This combination is ideal and will help us achieve our goals of expanding the processing and recycling of minerals and other products.”

David Heymans, born in 1985 in Cologne, studied Raw Materials Engineering at RWTH Aachen University. After completing his master’s degree in 2012, he worked as an international mining consultant for RWE companies. During this time, he provided on-site consulting to a leading global iron ore producer in establishing a strategic location in Brazil. After several years at Lhoist Germany Rheinkalk GmbH, Heymans joined Quarzwerke GmbH in mid-2020. There, he was responsible for the operational and strategic management of the sand and grinding plant in Frechen as Plant Manager, overseeing the extraction of quartz sand as well as the processing and refinement of own and third-party raw materials. Most recently, Heymans served as Managing Director of Phrikolat Drilling Specialties GmbH, a leading German company for specialty raw materials and chemicals.
